Gurgaon: Court sentenced four persons to life imprisonment for abduction and murder of a youth in 2021.
Police said the accused kidnapped the victim from city's Sector 10A and brutally assaulted him leading to his death.
The victim identified as Deepu was a resident of Motihari in Bihar, said police.
On July 11, 2021, police received a complaint that a person was hospitalised due to injuries in a fight. He was later referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.
When police reached the hospital, the victim informed that he was going from the bus stand to Khandsa when some people took him in an auto from Sector-10 A to a beer factory, where he was beaten with sticks and then they took him to Baslambi and beaten again.
On victim's complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections at Sector-37 police station.
Due to injuries, Deepu died during treatment on July 26, 2021, leading to the inclusion of Section 302 IPC in the case.
Police arrested four people identified as Rahul Soni alias Sadhu, Saurabh Mishra alias Golu, Abhinandan alias Kalu, and Amit alias Bhola, all four residents of Hari Nagar.
After investigation, police found all evidence and witnesses against the accused and they were presented in the court.
The court found the accused guilty under all charges. Police said, additional sessions judge Sunil Kumar Diwan delivered the verdict along with a fine of Rs 70,000.
