Overall for the market, most analysts call setups oversold and predict a bounce from lower levels but they are yet to be found. The shares of Eicher Motors were the top gainer on Nifty 50 ralling more than 6% in early trade, a day after the automaker reported its Q2 results.

Bitcoin spiked above $93,000 for a short period as expectations of further interest-rate reductions by the Federal Reserve added to the impetus from President-elect Donald Trump’s pro-crypto stance.
The digital asset rose nearly 6% in the US to a record $93,462 but failed to hold the climb, falling back to $89,974 as of 10:28 a.m. on Thursday in Singapore. The wider crypto market swung between gains and losses amid choppy trading.
Speculators are trying to parse whether Trump’s rhetorical support for digital assets will continue to propel Bitcoin, opening a path to $100,000, or give way to a bout of profit-taking after a 33% advance since the US election on Nov. 5.

The Indian rupee is likely to dip to a lifetime low on Thursday in wake of the dollar and U.S. rates extending their post-U.S. election rally. The 1-month non-deliverable forward indicated that the rupee will open at 84.42-84.44 to the U.S. dollar compared with 84.3775 in the previous session and past the all-time low of 84.4125 hit on Tuesday.

US markets cooled off from the highs off the day to end at the flat line on Wednesday, as the post-election rally showed signs of exhaustion, extending from Tuesday’s fall.
The Dow Jones gained 50 points but not before correcting nearly 200 points from the day’s high. The S&P 500 was absolutely flat, while the Nasdaq fell 0.3% after a 100-plus point drop from the session’s highs.
However, the case for a rate cut from the US Federal Reserve increased after the October inflation print came in-line with expectations of 2.6%. Core CPI also grew 3.3%, which is what economists had predicted.
Post the inflation announcement, the probability of a 25 basis points rate cut from the US Federal Reserve increased to 81% from 60% on Tuesday, according to the CME FedWatch tool.

Equities in Asia whipsawed Thursday as investors parsed a weakening yen and the prospect of a further US rate cut next month.
