Panaji: An FIR was filed against Kuldeepsinh Sabalsinh Rana, a 34-year-old Gujarat native on Wednesday after he was allegedly found in possession of a live round (ammunition calibre .32) at the Manohar International Airport at Mopa. Amil Sharma of CISF, in his complaint, said that Rana was scheduled to board an Air India flight to Mumbai when he was intercepted during security screening.
“While security screening was on at domestic security holding area at automatic tray retrieval system-H, one live round (ammunition calibre .32) inside the wallet of the said passenger was detected. Rana couldn’t produce a valid arms licence to carry and possess the round. He also couldn’t produce permission from the competent authority to carry the same in the aircraft,” Mopa police said.
