Prayagraj: The UP Board is implementing dual strategies for fair conduct of High School and Intermediate Board examinations in 2025 by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to secure question papers in strong rooms and reducing the number of unaided schools serving as examination centres.
However, the number of govt and aided schools has been increased.
Board secretary Bhagwati Singh has proposed 1,015 fewer unaided schools for the 2025 examinations compared to 2024.
The board has proposed 7,657 examination centres and sent the list to the district inspectors of schools (DIoS). This includes 940 govt schools and 3,512 aided schools. In contrast, 3,205 unaided schools have been proposed for examination centres.
By reducing the number of unaided schools as examination centres, the board will increase surveillance of the centres during the examination. The board will soon invite tenders for securing the question papers in the strong room with AI.
A total of 54,38,597 students (27,40,151 High School and 26,98,446 in Intermediate) have registered for the 2025 exams.
In the 2024 examination, a total of 55,25,308 students were registered, and the examination was conducted at 8,265 centres, which included 566 govt schools, 3,479 aided schools, and 4,220 unaided schools.
