Jaipur: Even as the municipal corporation is busy revamping Walled City ahead of the Rising Rajasthan summit, dumping of waste in open is still prevalent in the interior lanes.
JMC-Heritage has strengthened the night cleaning system in Walled City areas, but waste is still being dumped where the waste collection process is not up to mark. Councillors said the focus is limited to main roads and markets as delegates visiting Jaipur for the investment summit will use only these roads.
Councillor from Ward 9, Rajat Vishnoi, said, "Most of the working staff are diverted to keeping the main roads clean ahead of the investment summit, and for that, beautification work is also being done. The smaller lanes do have this attention"
