Panaji: After a truck container tipped over on the national highway on Bambolim Congress filed a complaint with the Old Goa police.
The party demanded action against the contractor of MV Rao Infra and PWD chief engineer Uttam Parsekar, alleging that the road’s faulty design is the cause of “frequent” accidents.
“In the past few years since the opening of the road, there were multiple life-threatening accidents that occurred on that road, at the same spot and many commuters lost their lives due to the negligence in its construction. This road has turned into a death-prone zone,” he said.
He demanded police register an FIR against them and initiate the required action.
