Kolkata: Two more doctors appeared before the Additional District and Sessions Court at Sealdah on Wednesday, the third day of the in-camera hearing of the RG Kar Hospital rape-and-murder case. Earlier, on Tuesday, two doctors had deposed before the court.
In its charge sheet, the CBI mentioned the two doctors who were seen with the victim at 10.15 pm on Aug 8. Three other doctors, including the two who deposed before the court on Tuesday, had joined them. They ordered food through a delivery app and had dinner between midnight and 1 am while watching the javelin throw event at the Olympics on a mobile handset.
The two doctors earlier told the CBI that they left for their duties while the victim decided to rest. She was alone in the seminar room and slept on the mattress kept there.
While Sanjay Roy, the prime accused in the case, was brought to the court premises, he made a hand gesture looking towards the camera persons and locals gathered outside. He was also seen waving his hands in the air for a brief while. Police increased his security after he spoke to media persons from inside the prison van on Monday. Three senior doctors of the RG Kar Hospital will depose before the court on Thursday.
