Award-winning rapper Nelly levied off with the charges that led to his arrest; deets here

Prosecuting attorney Wesley Bell and his team chose not to press charges following a “fair and impartial review of the evidence,” according to Scott Rosenblum, the lawyer for the “Country Grammar” rapper.

Nelly aka Cornell Haynes II, has been given a pass after being arrested in August for possessing ecstasy. According to reports, the rapper is not facing any accusations from the prosecution.

On Wednesday, November 13, Chris King of the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office told TMZ Hip Hop, “We don’t believe the facts in this case warrant the issuing of charge.”

Early on August 7, the Grammy-winning artist was taken into custody after winning many jackpots at the Hollywood Casino & Hotel in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Nelly was informed by a casino police that when a person wins more than a specific amount of money, a warrant search is requested. A more thorough inquiry showed that a judge had issued a warrant in December, which linked to a 2018 charge for operating a car without proof of insurance, despite Nelly’s lawyer’s assertion that no such warrant was necessary.
