Bokaro: Although 14 candidates are contesting in Bokaro seat, the fight is primarily between BJP’s Biranchi Narayan and Congress's Shweta Singh, with both parties deploying extensive resources to secure victory.
Biranchi, the incumbent BJP MLA serving his second term, seeks re-election for a third consecutive victory. His campaign centres on industrial development and progress.

Through numerous public gatherings and rallies, he has actively engaged with various community segments, emphasising the importance of unity and collective development.
The Congress candidate, who secured the second position in the 2019 byelections, campaigns on local concerns including healthcare, education and essential services. Singh advocates for community solidarity and positive transformation.
As the daughter-in-law of former Bokaro MLA, late Samresh Singh, Shweta aims to continue his political legacy. Her campaign strategy combines traditional voter meetings with digital communication to reach younger voters. Both candidates have prioritised establishing direct connections with the electorate.
Several critical issues dominate the electoral discourse, including extensive encroachment near Bokaro Steel Plant, involving illegal occupation of company quarters and rising security concerns. Employment demands from displaced families who surrendered land for the steel plant remain unresolved. Other pending matters include the commencement of airport operations, establishment of a medical college and construction of an international cricket stadium.
The urban population expresses particular concern over declining infrastructure, including deteriorating residential buildings and inadequate medical services at Bokaro General Hospital. The underutilisation of BSL facilities, including schools, clubs and health centres, has generated significant discontent among residents.
The election has evolved into a contest of leadership capabilities and issue resolution. Given its substantial electorate, Bokaro represents a crucial constituency for both BJP and Congress.
