Ajith Ram’s left arm orthodox spin got Tamil Nadu three wickets but BH Merai remains at the crease on 45, prolonging Railways’ fight on the first day.

Sukhdeep Bajwa takes three wickets as Bihar is castled out for 135 runs. However, play has been stopped due to bad light in Mohali.

Lomror playing a fine innings as he continues to bat on 120. On the other end, he has an able partner in Kartik who has notched up a half-century.

Moahmmed Shami’s first spell is four overs long and concedes 16 runs for Bengal. Subhransu Senapati and Himanshu Mantri get MP going in style and chop off 49 runs in 14 overs. The side trails by 179 runs now.

While Karnataka is nearing UP’s first-innings score, the side has lost almost half of its side while batting. Manish Pandey is the latest batter to walk back after scoring just six runs.

Breakthrough for Haryana. First over after Tea and Anshul Kamboj strikes. Forces an edge out of Rohan Kunnummal and a good catch at first slip.

Chirag Jani has scored a century, the seventh of his FC career, while Harvik Desai is just nine runs short of the mark. The pair’s 210-run stand has put the team in position to fight for a big win here. 

Rohan Kunnummal gets a life after a thick edge off Aman Kumar flies just past the keeper. Still some bounce in the pitch. Not much lateral movement though.

The fifth round of matches get underway today as this Ranji Trophy season moves towards the final set of fixtures. The fifth round will be the last before the tournament breaks to accomodate the white-ball competitions - Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The last two rounds of Ranji Trophy will start from January 23.
