Jaipur: Deputy chief minister Diya Kumari on Tuesday directed officials to address traffic congestion in the Walled City markets and streamline traffic flow.
During a meeting with tourism department and JMC-Heritage officials, she called for a detailed action plan to be created and swiftly implemented. Kumari also emphasized resolving the parking challenges by coordinating with market associations to utilise the Ramniwas Bagh parking lot.
"Parking should be encouraged in the Ramniwas Bagh lot with a minimal fee. Jaipur traffic police should develop and execute a comprehensive plan for smooth traffic operations in the Walled City," Kumari said.
On Friday, JMC-Heritage commissioner Arun Kumar Hasija inspected phase-2 of the Ramniwas Bagh underground parking, recommending enhancements before opening it to the public. tnn
