Amravati: Traitors destroyed Maharashtra politics two-and-a-half-years ago, said Sushma Andhare, deputy leader of Shiv Sena (UBT) on Monday, adding that this happened because of the politics of fracas by Devendra Fadnavis, who wanted to be the chief minister, Eknath Shinde wanted to hide the Samruddhi file, and Ajit Pawar wanted to get rid of the ED.
She was addressing a campaign meeting at Nandgaon Khandeshwar in favour of Virendra Jagtap, Congress party candidate from MVA in the Dhamangaon Railway assembly constituency.
Andhare said that voters are tired of BJP's dirty politics and they want a change in the state. "Voters should remember the price of soyabean while pressing the button to vote, and they should remember the price of cotton, price of LPG, and the safety of women," she said.
She said the BJP has accused Maha Vikas Aghadi of setting a fake narrative but in fact BJP is the source of the fake narrative. She also criticized BJP's advertisements, which are constantly being shown on TV these days, saying that one needs advertisements to sell bad things and that is why this government with bad tendencies has to advertise itself repeatedly.
She also said that many independent candidates have been fielded by the opponents to cut Congress party's votes in the constituency. She appealed to voters not to waste votes on independent candidates as they are not capable of winning the election and asked the voters to cast their vote for Virendra Jagtap and elect him with huge margin.
Virendra Jagtap, national general secretary of RPI (G) Dr Rajendra Gawai, MP Balwant Wankhade, Prakash Marotkar of Shiv Sena (UBT), Nitin Gawli of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Sunil Metkar, Omkar Thakre, Balasaheb Bhagwat, Pramod Kohle, Manoj Kadu, Balasaheb Rane, and Pramod Thakre also addressed the meeting. Ganesh Arekar of NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), Sachin Rithe, Md Sajid, Nishant Jadhav, Akshay Paraskar, Amol Dhavse along with Maha Vikas Aghadi's constituent party office bearers were present in large numbers.
