Ludhiana: Two friends — both factory workers — were arrested on Tuesday with an illegal .32 bore pistol, two live cartridges and an empty magazine from the Kanganwal area of Sahnewal. The accused are Sunil Yadav, 26, of Kanganwal Road who hails from Mehrajganj of Uttar Pradesh and his friend Anurag Tiwari, 31, of Mohalla Bhai Dharam Singh Nagar, Lohara Road.
A case under Arms Act has been registered against the duo. One of the accused brought the weapon to target a friend, who had spoken ill of his wife, a few days ago, CIA-III of Ludhiana police commissionerate said.
