CHENNAI: Torrential rains battered the city, causing widespread traffic disruptions on major thoroughfares, including Anna Salai, Madhya Kailash, and OMR.
The chaos began as early as 8.30am, with vehicles crawling from Saidapet.
GST Road remained severely congested during peak hours, leaving commuters frustrated.
"We're facing a tough time riding on these roads," said Guru, a Pammal resident. "The rains are bad enough, but the poor road conditions are making it even worse,” he said.
