Patna: A bike-borne assailant shot at two teenagers outside their houses on Park Road under Kadamkuan police station area in the state capital on Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred around 5.30pm when the unidentified miscreant fired two rounds and escaped on his bike.
Victims Shivam Kumar (15) and Ashish Kumar (16) were admitted to Patna Medical College Hospital.
Town deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Ashok Kumar Singh said according to their primary investigation, the crime was committed over a love affair. "The CCTV footage near the crime scene is being scanned to identify the culprit. Shivam sustained a gunshot wound to his hand, while Ashish sustained a bullet injury to his back. Their condition of both the teenagers is said to be stable. The police have started an investigation after taking the victims' statements. The accused will be nabbed soon," Singh told this newspaper.
