The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) has established a global leadership team to spearhead its strategic direction for 2025-30. This team, made up of members from diverse organizations worldwide, includes Mrs. Savitri Singh, Deputy Chief Executive of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI).
Mrs. Singh attended the team’s second virtual meeting on November 5, 2024, which was chaired by ICA President Ariel Guarco and Director-General Jeroen Douglas.
During the meeting, Mrs. Singh contributed valuable insights, emphasizing the importance of incorporating women’s empowerment and inclusion as key elements in the upcoming strategy. The agenda covered updates on the strategic planning process, a review of the latest document draft, and a discussion on the next steps.
Members are now tasked with providing feedback on the proposed strategy plan, a crucial phase in shaping the ICA’s objectives and initiatives for the coming years. The focus on inclusivity and the collective expertise of this leadership team reflect the ICA’s commitment to fostering a more equitable cooperative movement globally.
