Kanpur: A class XI student who left home to attend tuition classes went missing under mysterious circumstances from the Chakeri police station area of the city.
The family has accused a man of abducting the girl and lodged a report at the Chakeri police station.
The girl's father, a resident of Chakeri, said that his 15-year-old daughter is in class XI at a local school. She left for tuition on Saturday evening. When she did not return, they attempted to contact her on her mobile number, but the phone was switched off.
During the enquiry, it was discovered that she used to converse with a resident of Shiv Katra area of the city.
According to the father, the daughter took two thousand rupees, her Aadhaar card, ear rings and garments from home. Following this, the family lodged a complaint at the Chakeri police station.
Police station in-charge Ashok Dubey said that an abduction case has been registered, and the police will soon trace them. tnn
