Kanpur: Alok Gupta of Kanpur has been appointed as coach of ICSC National chess team which will participate in the National chess championship of 68th National Games Federation (SGFI)-2024 scheduled to be held at Narmada puram (MP) from November 21, 2024.
According to Dilip Srivastava, secretary Kanpur Chess Association, five boys and five girls comprise the CISCE team. The boys' team features players from Goa, Kerala, Maharashtra, Haryana, Bengal whilst the girls' team includes members from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh.
Alok Gupta is presently employed at Dr VSEC H-2 Kidwai Nagar and serves as an active member of Kanpur Chess Association.
