Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University's (BBAU) Department of Journalism and Mass Communication is organising a national-level film festival, in which filmmakers from across the country will participate.
BBAU will be hosting the event along with Awadh Chitra Sadhana. Around 100 entries were received by Awadh Chitra Sadhana, out of which 44 films were selected to be screened at this festival.
"Well-known Hindi filmmaker and producer Atul Pandey will be interacting with participants on Nov 15 in a master class on filmmaking. Apart from this, well-known actor from Lucknow, Anil Rastogi and will discuss acting with Rama Arun Trivedi in the master class on Nov 17," said Prof Govind Pandey, head of journalism department, adding that the festival was a very good opportunity for all film lovers as well as students of media and filmmaking to learn about the art of production. The two-day event will comprise watching and talking about films and deliberations on various other important aspects of cinema. Mass communication students from across the state can register for this film festival and get a participation certificate. The registration fee is Rs 300 per person, which includes lunch, high tea, registration kit, etc. The registration link has been made available on the official website of Awadh Chitra Sadhana and BBAU.
