Hisar: BJP MLA from Safidon, Ram Kumar Gautam, expressing regret over the election statements made against former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, on Sunday said his remarks against the Congress leader did not suit him but had he not spoken against him, BJP would not have been able to form the govte.
Speaking at a felicitation ceremony held at Narnaund, his hometown, Gautam expressed pain over not getting the ministerial post and said everyone knew that he had contributed in forming the BJP govt, but what “Ram (God) has written will happen”. He said if Nayab Singh Saini had not been made the CM face, BJP would not have won the elections.
Gautam also attributed the Congress’ defeat to Hooda’s overconfidence. “Hooda was defeated by overconfidence,” he said. TNN
