Lucknow: A school principal has lodged a fraud complaint against an assistant teacher at the Alambagh police station. The teacher in question is accused of securing the job by submitting a fake B Ed mark sheet.
Principal of Janta Intermediate College, Chander Nagar, Pawan Kumar said that the B Ed mark sheet submitted by Rakesh Kumar at the time of recruitment was found to be fake during verification. Consequently, the college administration dismissed Rakesh from the job.
The principal said that the incident came to light in June 2023 when Rakesh sought medical leave. "To approve the leave, Rakesh was asked to get the documents signed by the CMO. When the accused submitted the documents after a few days, the signature of the CMO appeared doubtful. The college administration sent the documents to the CMO office for recheck and the reply received was that the signature on the documents was not of the CMO," said the principal.
Meanwhile, while the investigation into the case was going on, the college got notices from a bank for non-payment of a loan issued in the name of Rakesh. Later, during subsequent investigation the school principal contacted the Sanskriti University of Mathura from where the accused had claimed to have done the BEd. It was then surfaced that the certificate submitted by the accused was fake, the principal claimed.
Additional DCP, east zone, Pankaj Singh said that an FIR was lodged and a probe was being conducted.
