Jaipur: Amid the growing scrutiny surrounding the sub-inspector (SI) 2021 examination due to the widespread paper leak, a group of protesters climbed an overhead water tank on Sunday, demanding the cancellation of the exam.
The protesters displayed a long flex banner outlining their demands, which included the arrest of both former and incumbent RPSC members, as well as the cancellation of the exam. They also called for the swift arrest of those involved in the scandal and raised concerns about the ongoing issues surrounding the exam process.
Activists involved in the protest voiced their frustrations, stating that numerous unemployed youths have been struggling for years to secure jobs, yet the govt has failed to take decisive action regarding the SI exam. Despite the filing of over 13 FIRs and the arrest of 50 trainee SIs, the activists argued that the govt has not acted swiftly to address the issue. They further alleged the involvement of a senior minister and an IAS officer in the matter.
In relation to the ongoing investigation, the Special Operations Group (SOG) recently submitted a chargesheet in which they outlined an elaborate scheme in which former RPSC member Ramu Ram Raika obtained the SI exam question paper through Babu Lal Katara approximately one month before the scheduled exam.
