Hyderabad: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday criticised BJP over its leaders' ‘vote jihad' comments and questioned whether they would use the same language when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Arab countries. He accused the BJP alliance in Maharashtra of trying to divert the attention of the people from core issues like farmer suicides in the state.
Owaisi conducted a door-to-door campaign in Aurangabad Central constituency in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and interacted with voters. AIMIM has fielded Naser Siddiqui from the constituency. "BJP is trying to suppress the real problems such as 324 farmers who died by suicide in Aurangabad constituency, but no one is addressing it," he said. tnn
