Chandigarh: The fact-finding committee of Haryana Congress, headed by former minister Karan Singh Dalal, on Saturday held its final meeting to deliberate with candidates who lost during the recently concluded assembly elections.
Haryana Congress co-incharge Jitendera Baghel, former MP chief minister Digvijay Singh, and former Union minister Birender Singh were among those who joined the meeting.
Dalal, during his interaction with the media, claimed that the BJP resorted to gross misuse of official machinery as well as money power. “The BJP used all its tactics. We have interacted with all the 39 candidates in detail. We have prepared the report, which will be presented before the party high command for further approval to fight a legal battle in the apex court. We are sure that we shall get justice, rather people of Haryana will get justice,” said Dalal.
Of the 90 assembly seays in Haryana, BJP won 48 seats, Congress 37, independents 3, and INLD 2. There were 10-15 seats where Congress candidates lost by a thin margin.
