New Delhi, Nov 10: To improve the quality of painting on EMU/MEMU coaches, EMU Card Shed Ghaziabad of Delhi Division Northern Railway has introduced Spray/Polyurethane painting with spray guns. During this process of painting, initially the entire surface is rubbed with high-grade emery paper, followed by filling of putty at certain places to bring uniformity on the entire surface. It not only has improved the quality of painting but will also prevent the walls of the coaches from rusting quickly.
A 8 Car MEMU rake was received in February 2024, which was Vinyl Wrapped on the exteriors of the coach instead of being painted. To make it more attractive retouch-up work was done at some places of all the eight coaches. Due to this all the eight coaches have become more eye catching. The shed staff has also been fully trained to do this work. This work was done for the first time in the EMU Car shed, Ghaziabad.

ई.एम.यू./एम.ई.एम.यू. कोचों पर पेंटिंग की गुणवत्ता में सुधार के लिए, दिल्ली मंडल, उत्तर रेलवे के ई.एम.यू./ कार शेड, गाजियाबाद ने स्प्रे गन के साथ स्प्रे/पॉलीयुरेथेन पेंटिंग की शुरुआत की गई है । पेंटिंग की इस प्रक्रिया के दौरान, शुरुआत में पूरी सतह को उच्च श्रेणी के एमरी पेपर से रगड़ा जाता है, इसके बाद पूरी सतह पर समानता लाने के लिए कुछ स्थानों पर पुट्टी भर दी गई । इससे न केवल पेंटिंग की गुणवत्ता में सुधार हुआ है बल्कि कोचों की बाहरी सतह को जल्दी जंग लगने से भी बचाया जा सकेगा। फरवरी 2024 में एक 8 कार एम.ई.एम.यू. रेक प्राप्त हुआ, जिसे पेंट करने के बजाय कोच के बाहरी सतह पर विनाइल लपेटा गया था । इसे और अधिक आकर्षक बनाने के लिए सभी आठ कोचों में कुछ स्थानों पर रीटच-अप का काम किया गया। इससे सभी आठ कोच और भी आकर्षक हो गए। इस कार्य को करने के लिए शेड के कर्मचारियों को भी पूरी तरह से प्रशिक्षित किया गया है। यह कार्य पहली बार ई.एम.यू. कार शेड, गाजियाबाद में किया गया है।
