Silchar: Authorities have recovered the body of Rahul Shekh, a 22-year-old ‘beedi’ vendor, from Jujang Hills in Cachar district’s Lakhipur subdivision. The body was discovered during an exhumation on Thursday evening, reports BB Goswami.
Rahul disappeared while travelling from Silchar to Jirighat, near the Assam-Manipur border, to sell his products on Monday. Originally from Murshidabad, West Bengal, he had been residing in a rented accommodation in Silchar for several years.
