New Delhi: Delhi Congress on Saturday claimed that its ‘Nyay Yatra' was getting "overwhelming" support from the people of the capital and asserted it will form the next govt in the city in Feb 2025.
Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav interacted with people and listened to their grievances as the march proceeded. Yadav said he was overwhelmed by the response the march received throughout its route. "People have reposed their faith in the Congress for ushering in a new era of progress and development in the capital, and saving them from the misrule and injustice of AAP govt," Yadav said in a statement.
He added that Congress workers and functionaries received a number of complaints – supply of contaminated water or not getting water at all through the Delhi Jal Board pipes, garbage not being cleared, waterlogging and accidents during monsoon, air pollution, and traffic congestion.
"Delhi Nyay Yatra" covered around 25km and five Assembly constituencies in the capital on its second day on Saturday. It started from Jama Masjid and passed through the lanes and bylanes of the city's commercial hubs of Chawri Bazar, Nai Sadak, Chandni Chowk, Fatehpuri, Khari Baoli, Sadar Bazar, Bara Hindu Rao and Pahari Dhiraj Road. Party officials said it covered the Chandni Chowk, Sadar, Karol Bagh, Rajender Nagar and Patel Nagar assembly constituencies.
