Unidentified assailants on a motorcycle fired approximately six rounds at Lakra, who was recently released from Tihar Jail, before escaping. NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old man was fatally shot in outer Delhi's Mundka on Saturday. Unidentified bikers fired around six rounds before fleeing.
The victim, who had been released from Tihar Jail where he was held in a criminal case, succumbed to injuries. Police are investigating whether this was a gang war or personal vendetta.
Police received a PCR call around 8 pm regarding the shooting incident in Mundka village. Upon reaching the spot, police found the victim lying in a pool of blood on the roadside.
He was immediately rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. The deceased was identified as Amit Lakra (27), a resident of Mundka village.
