Ahmedabad: A woman in her early twenties was rescued by the Abhayam 181 helpline from the Naroda area of the city. According to counsellors, nearby residents informed the helpline that the woman could not hear or speak and was struggling to sustain herself.
The team reached the spot and tried to communicate with the woman in sign language. However, as she could not respond or provide information about her family or husband, she was shifted to the Sakhi One Stop Centre in Asarva.
