Noida: A 20-year-old man died, and his friend was injured on Wednesday after allegedly being attacked with a knife by three men due to previous hostilities.
The deceased, Ashu Kumar, originally from Arawal, Bihar, lived in Chotpur Colony in Sector 63. "On Wednesday around 8.30 pm, Ashu was chatting with his neighbour, Vishal Kumar (21), when the accused — Parul, Amit, and Akram, who are also neighbours — approached them and started a fight over a week-old dispute," said a senior police officer.
The officer added that when Ashu and Vishal protested, Parul pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed Ashu multiple times. Vishal also sustained a stab wound to his abdomen. He was declared dead on arrival by doctors. A case under sections 103 (murder) and 109 (attempt to murder) of the BNS was registered
