Jaipur: Jaipur Vyapaar Mahasangh on Thursday announced that during the three-day Rising Rajasthan summit from Dec 9-11, heavy discounts will be given on shopping as a gesture to welcome international and domestic investors.
Subhash Goyal, president of Jaipur Vyapaar Mahasangh, said, "All traders have agreed to give complete support for the Rising Rajasthan summit in all possible ways as this will give rise to employment in the state and economic development. To welcome the investors, all business will be done on a no profit-no loss basis during the three days of the investment summit, and heavy discounts will be given to everyone."
The decision was announced by the market association during a meeting with officials from JMC Heritage held on Thursday in the presence of Civil Lines MLA Gopal Sharma and acting mayor Kusum Yadav.
"The guests of Rising Rajasthan will admire the beauty of Jaipur city for three days, so the markets will be decorated vibrantly like Diwali, and we all should welcome them in Rajasthani style. They should take with them the beautiful memories of Jaipur's hospitality," said Sharma.
The market associations also agreed to ensure that the names of all shops in the Walled City are written in black and white colour as per the norms of the Jaipur Heritage city.
"People come from different countries to see the heritage and culture of Jaipur, and no stone will be left unturned to make the city clean and beautiful before the summit. Traders have informed that the names of all the shops in the markets of the Walled City will be written in black on a white strip, which will maintain uniformity and follow the heritage of the city. Along with this, all the walls will be painted with the same terracotta colour, so that the beauty of Jaipur remains intact," said Yadav.
