Visakhapatnam: Police arrested the fourth accused in Cambodia human trafficking case at the Bhubaneswar airport.
Dasari Venkata Raghava Pardha Saradhi was detained by immigration officials who alerted Vizag cybercrime police, following look out circular (LOC) issued to all national airports and ports.
Police have arrested 20 agents in eight human trafficking cases and rescued 86 individuals from Chinese companies in Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand.
In May, Chukka Rajesh, another primary accused, and his associates, Sabbavarapu Kondala Rao and Mannena Gnaneswara Rao, were arrested from Gajuwaka.
Though Saradhi was identified then, he was abroad. The perpetrators deceived jobless individuals into participating in cybercrimes abroad.
Saradhi had earlier worked as welder in different countries. His role in trafficking involved receiving individuals in Cambodia sent by Rajesh and transferring them to Chinese companies, collaborating with Arya Habeeb from the Philippines.
Cybercrime CI Bhavani Prasad said, "We came to know about Saradhi when we arrested three persons from the Gajuwaka, but his name was spelled as Raghava and we did not get his passport to issue the look out circular. We later got his details and passport. He did not know that an LOC was issued against him and when he landed in Bhubaneswar, he was caught by immigration officials."
Police have arrested all agents involved in Vizag's human trafficking cases and identified approximately 20 agents nationwide, including those from Mumbai, Rajasthan, Telangana, and other regions.
