Amaran grows immensely on Friday in Tamil Nadu; ready to compete the mainstream tier-1 films

On October 31, 2024, Amaran was launched at the box office alongside Brother, Bloody Beggar, Lucky Baskhar, and KA. Since its premiere, the biographical war drama starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi has been a hit. The movie is unquestionably a blockbuster. In Tamil Nadu, Amaran made Rs 89 crore in the first week, and the second weekend is off to a great start.

Amara,  directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, made Rs 16 crore at the box office when movie first released. The film starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi made Rs 5.50 crore on the second Friday after earning Rs 89 crore in its prolonged first week. The fact that the collections increased from Thursday is a clear sign of how big the second weekend will be. Tomorrow, the tenth day of the war drama, it will surpass Rs 100 crore in the state. Additionally, the worldwide collections will surpass Rs 200 crore.

Sivakarthikeyan portrays the character of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a deceased Indian army officer, in Amaran. Indhu Rebecca Varghese, his on-screen wife, is portrayed by Sai Pallavi.
