Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended a Shrimad Bhagwat Katha held in Karamahi village near Belkharanath Dham in Pratapgarh on Thursday.
At the event, organised at the residence of former Jal Shakti minister Mahendra Singh, the CM received blessings from the Katha Vachak Jagatguru Swami Shri Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj and honoured him with a shawl and garland. He also paid tribute to Singh's ancestors by offering floral wreaths.
The CM described the Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran as a "scripture of liberation", the narration of which paves the way for salvation or liberation. During the event, Jagatguru Swami Shri Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj praised the CM's efforts, saying that the development of pilgrimage sites and the enhancement of Ayodhya city brought global recognition to UP.
The CM described the opportunity to listen to the Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran Katha as "sacred and fortunate". He said that Swami Ji's wisdom provides solutions to contemporary societal issues through the narration of the Katha. He also said that achieving success in one's field of work can be a path to liberation for every individual.
