Jind: Eight women personnel of Jind police, who were graded poorly when sexual harassment-accused IPS officer Sumit Kumar was the superintendent of police, appeared before Haryana State Commission for Women on Thursday, said its chairperson Renu Bhatia.
She added that DSP Geetika Jakhar and sub-inspector Mukesh Rani, who are accused of helping the SP, also appeared before her, but they blamed a member of the social media team for the entire episode and said he should be arrested, said Bhatia.
Bhatia added she suspected that the social media team member might have raised the issue.
“We will send a letter to Haryana Director General of Police on Friday, requesting him to the arrest this specific individual, so that the case could get clarity,” she added.
