Nagpur: Three persons, including a woman, were killed in separate incidents at different places in the last 24 hours, leading to serious concerns about the rising number of fatal accidents.
In the first incident, 24-year-old Vivek Rannaware was killed after his bike was dashed by a Bolero pickup van on Wednesday when he was returning home at Chaitaneshwar Nagar near Kharbi. Wathoda police registered an offence against the driver of the Bolero pickup van.
In yet another incident, also on Wednesday, 39-year-old Tarana Khan Pathan sustained serious injuries after the auto-rickshaw she was travelling in rammed into a parked car from behind on the Jabalpur-Nagpur highway. She was declared dead at a hospital. The New Kamptee police have registered an offence against the auto-rickshaw driver.
In a separate incident, 75-year-old Haribhau Ghubde was killed after his cycle was hit by a diesel tanker on Hyderabad-Jabalpur highway. Ghubde was declared dead at Mayo Hospital. The Pardi police have registered an offence against the diesel tanker driver.
