Lucknow: Rampur, Jhansi, Bhadohi and Prayagraj won their league matches in the 16th Padma Shri Jamanlal Sharma State Boys Sub-Junior (U-14) Hockey Tournament.
With this, the line-up for the quarter-finals of the tournament, held under the aegis of KD Singh Babu Society, has been decided. Lucknow will take on Jhansi in the quarter-finals on Thursday at the CB Gupta ground here.
The SKHA Gazipur and Bhadohi tie ended in a 1-1 draw. The first goal for Bhadohi was scored by Rohit Bind in the 14th minute. In reply, Anshuman from Gazipur scored the equalizer in the 29th minute. After the stipulated time, a shootout was held to which Bhadohi won 3-2.
While in the second match, Rampur emerged victorious, Jhansi beat Meerut 2-1 in another tie. Similarly, Prayagraj defeated Pratapgarh 4-1.
