Daltonganj: Eight inmates, including three women, are observing Chhath Puja at the Daltonganj Central Jail. Bhagirath Karjee, jail superintendent, said the participants include both under-trial prisoners and convicts.
“Among the five male inmates, two are convicts, while two of the three female inmates are serving sentences,” he said.
The jail administration has also made comprehensive arrangements for the festival, providing all necessary items including water tubs, fruits, and milk for the devotees.tnn
