Lucknow: A delivery boy was attacked by some men for allegedly delivering order late in Sushant Golf City on Tuesday night. The attackers, who were armed with a pistol, threatened to kill the victim as they beat him up. The victim Dheeraj Kumar has lodged an FIR.
According to Dheeraj, he went to Khurdahi Market late at night to deliver an order from the food delivery service. When he arrived later than expected, two men, Aamir and Raeen, along with their associates, began verbally abusing him.
When Dheeraj tried to defend himself, the attackers escalated the situation by physically assaulting him. In a shocking turn of events, they pointed a pistol at him, threatening to kill him.
As people from the nearby colony started gathering at the scene, the assailants fled the spot, leaving the delivery boy badly shaken but alive. Given that the incident occurred late at night, Dheeraj was unable to immediately report the attack and filed a complaint the following morning.
Inspector Anjani Kumar Mishra from Sushant Golf City police station confirmed that an FIR was filed based on the victim's statement. The police have begun searching for the accused, who are reportedly still at large.
"We are working to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for the assault," he said.
