Bokaro: Election observers conducted a surprise inspection of the media cell and media certification and monitoring committee located at the information building here to review the election monitoring processes.
General observer A R Rahulnadh (for Gomia assembly seat), along with expenditure observers R Natesh (Gomia and Bermo constituencies) and Mingyur Yonjon (Bokaro and Chandankiyari constituencies) led the inspection.
The team met with MCMC cell senior officer and JIADA regional deputy director Manoj Kumar to review paid news monitoring protocols and electoral compliance measures.
Media cell nodal officer Avinash Kumar Singh briefed the observers on daily election-related communications and newspaper coverage tracking. He also gave a detailed explanation of the system for reporting candidates’ advertising expenditures to the expenditure observer cell.
The observers also evaluated the assembly election control room, using CCTV to monitor SST checkposts and assess C-Vigil app complaint resolution processes.
They concluded by providing operational guidelines to ensure compliance with election regulations and maintain electoral integrity.
