New Delhi: A 18-year-old man was nabbed and a boy was apprehended in connection with extortion-related shootings on Monday at a property dealer's office and a plywood showroom in Nangloi and Alipur. Both suspects are linked to the Gogi Gang, police said.
In Nangloi, three masked men fired nearly a dozen rounds at a plywood showroom. Sources said the showroom owner had received a threatening call from jailed gangster Ankesh Lakra, demanding Rs 10 crore as protection money.
The second incident took place in Alipur, where the same group fired multiple rounds at a property dealer's office. "We apprehended them based on a tip-off," said additional CP (crime) Sanjay Bhatia.
Akash disclosed that they were acting on orders from gangsters Yogesh alias Tunda, Monty Maan, and their associate Ram Niwas alias Mogli. tnn
