The 42nd Shivani Cup Special Open Chess Tournament, organized by Shivani Public School under the aegis of the Lucknow District Chess Sports Association, will feature several International Masters (IMs) as its main attraction this year. The tournament, scheduled to take place on November 10, 2024, at Shivani Public School will have a total prize money of Rs. 2,22,222.
Over 50 rated players, including IM Dinesh Sharma, Aryan Varshney and a foreign participant, Thuso Malitis from Botswana will vie for Rs 42,000, the top prize.
