Gorakhpur: Sanjay Maheshwari, an esteemed cancer surgeon and medical director at MP Birla Group of Hospitals, addressed the importance of trust in the doctor-patient relationship at the orientation ceremony for new MBBS and BAMS students at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, on Tuesday. He noted that a doctor's success lies in gaining their patient's confidence, akin to a child's comfort in a mother's arms.
Presiding over the event, vice-chancellor Atul Vajpayee emphasized the university's core mission of public welfare through healthcare and education. He encouraged students to uphold this commitment as they embark on their medical journey.
Special guest Rekha Maheshwari highlighted the essential role of discipline, advising students to view their responsibilities with dedication. The event featured the traditional Charak oath, led by Devi Nair, and concluded with a parent-student interaction session hosted by university leadership.
