Kanpur: A police constable brandished a pistol at a class 10 student following a petty dispute in Etawah's Chakarnagar police station area. The constable also hurled expletives at the student. The incident, which occurred on Monday afternoon, was captured on video that subsequently went viral across social media platforms.
Circle officer Prem Chandra of Chakarnagar acknowledged the occurrence of the incident and assured that appropriate action would be taken after a thorough investigation into the matter.
An officer familiar with the investigation said, "A group of students congregated outside their college when a constable deployed on Dial 112 was jestingly addressed by some student as an NCC cadet. The constable reprimanded the boy and menacingly displayed a pistol. The case is being investigated. Further action will be taken based on available evidence." tnn
