Jaipur: The leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully on Monday criticised BJP state president Madan Rathore's statement as ‘anti-democratic'. Rathore had said BJP is in power both in the state and at the Centre. "Therefore, if a person with the same mindset wins, they will be able to foster the region's development." He said if a person with an opposing mindset wins, he/she may hesitate to connect with the leadership or to communicate their work.
Rathore emphasised that people want development in their region. "Hence, they hope that the public will align with the BJP in the name of development. For development, they should strive for unity."Rathore claimed that a person with an opposing mindset would not be able to carry out development work in their respective areas if elected.
Jully said Rathore's statement was contrary to the core spirit of democracy and reflected BJP's narrow mindset.
