Kanpur: A major fire broke out in the basement of a tractor agency situated on Jalaun road in Orai's Kotwali area, caused by a short circuit on Tuesday morning. The incident resulted in damages worth several lakh rupees. The agency staff swiftly relocated tractors while the basement contents were consumed by the flames.
Staff members promptly alerted both the agency owner and fire services upon witnessing the flames and smoke. Initially, one fire engine responded to the emergency, but as the situation escalated, six additional fire tenders were dispatched to the location.
Circle Officer Umesh Kumar Pandey confirmed that the combined effort of fire tenders successfully contained the blaze, while damage assessment continues.
