Bengaluru: Miscreants stole the iPhone of a head constable when he was busy buying flowers for Deepavali festival in a market at Basaveshwaranagar, west Bengaluru.
Krishnappa NC, 45, was on his way home to Nagarabhavi on Oct 31 when he stopped at the market, near Pavithra Paradise Junction, Basaveshwaranagar, around 5.50pm to purchase flowers for the festival. Krishnappa, who works in the office of assistant commissioner of police (Vijayanagar subdivision), felt someone bumping into him but ignored it, assuming it was by mistake. Five minutes later, he found his iPhone 14 Pro Max missing and realised the miscreant had stolen it by dashing into him.
Later, Krishnappa called his number from a friend's mobile phone. It rang once but the call was unanswered. When he dialled a second time, it was switched off.
