Akanksha Jain, Head of Public Relations and Corporate Communications at BharatPe, has decided to move on from her role after spending more than four years with the company. Jain joined the Indian fintech firm in September 2020, where she headed reputation management and brand building.
During her tenure, she oversaw brand communications, worked closely with the management team and the board, and served as the Chief Storyteller and Reputation Expert at BharatPe.
She also led merchant impact storytelling, developed strategies for all owned media channels, managed corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and spearheaded content strategy, among other responsibilities.
Jain announced her departure in a LinkedIn post, stating: “I am moving on from my role at BharatPe after spending 4+ years building BharatPe as one of the leading fintech companies in the country.
“The last 4 years have been one of the most enterprising, challenging, exciting and enriching years for me- starting with building awareness for a young and aspiring brand, becoming the first fintech to be an investor in a Small Finance Bank, building the brand and its leaders as industry voices and managing one of the biggest crisis in startup industry.
“Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with great leaders and Founders who valued the role of Communications and trusted as well as empowered me to deliver the best. Thanking the efforts of a few here,” she added.
She also expressed gratitude to the leaders with whom she worked closely during her time at BharatPe.
Prior to her association with BharatPe, she served as Global Head of PR and Communications and Head of Content Marketing at Pine Labs from May 2019 to February 2020.
Before joining Pine Labs, she was at MobiKwik from February 2018 to May 2019, where she held the position of Director and Head of Public Relations and Communications.
Jain began her professional journey as an Associate Account Manager at Text10 in July 2006 and has since worked with brands such as HCL Technologies, John Keells Holdings, Power2SME, AskmeBazaar, ASKME.com, and VLCC.
