Haryana Minister Anil Vij claimed that the administration actively worked against him in the recent assembly elections. He alleged attempts to instigate violence at his rallies and a deliberate withdrawal of his security detail. Despite these obstacles, Vij expressed confidence in his victory and criticized those who spread doubts about his candidacy.
AMBALA: Haryana power, transport and labour minister AnIl Vij once again alleged that the administration fully tried to defeat him in the recent state assembly elections and said that it is a matter of investigation. Vij was speaking at an event organised by him for BJP workers and his supporters, for winning the Ambala Cantonment assembly seat.
Anil Vij said that a lot of games were played against him during the elections. “The administration tried its best to defeat him, which is a matter of investigation. The Municipal Council stopped building our approved roads. Apart from this, other works were also stopped. The administration also tried to cause bloodshed in this election so that Anil Vij or his worker dies so that the election can be influenced.”
“I had to go to a program in the Dharamshala of Shahpur village and had taken permission for this from the Election Commission. When the Election Commission gives permission, it also takes NOC from the police. When I went to that program, a lot of people were present there, meanwhile many people came inside the hall with sticks and a fight broke out. If something had happened in this clash, it would have been wrong. I kept my patience, but I want to ask where the police were at that time”, said Anil Vij.
He said he Z security, but a day before this incident, half of his security was withdrawn. “Where was the CID that day, why did they not know about this protest? Similarly, an incident took place in village Garnala and before going to the program, I had informed the DGP, DC, SP, Election Commission and RO that I had a program there. But there was a clash too and if something had happened to anyone in this program, who would have been responsible for it. The police administration was trying to defeat Anil Vij and at their behest, some workers revolted”, alleged Anil Vij.
“The claims of all the exit poll agencies proved wrong on the day of the election results. I was fully confident that I would win the election, the party would win and he would also become a minister. Many people spread the misconception that Anil Vij would not get the ticket, then said that he would not win, then started saying that the government would not come, all of which proved to be false and these people went and sat in the lap of the opposition”, said Vij. Taking a jibe, Vij said that "buffaloes do not die on the saying of butchers".
Vij also asked workers to be prepared for the Ambala Sadar municipal council elections.
“Many forces fought against me. A gentleman Ashish Tayal went from street to street and got people to join Chitra Sarwara's camp and he has all the proof of this. He posted a photo with Nayab Saini on Facebook so that he could influence the officers and workers. I do know what his relationship is with the chief minister. But I want to say that whatever work he has done against the BJP, he does not have the right to post a photo with our chief minister. He should immediately delete this photo from Facebook and we will not let our chief minister's name get defamed”, said Anil Vij.
