MANDYA: Agriculture minister N Cheluvarayaswamy on Monday urged the voters to support Congress candidates in the upcoming Mandya Milk Union (MANMUL) election scheduled for February 2. He announced that six candidates were already finalised, with the complete list expected soon.
“The election may not be contested under party symbols, but candidates are supported by various political parties. Therefore, I encourage all eligible voters to back the Congress-supported candidates to ensure their success,” stated Cheluvarayaswamy, who is Mandya district in-charge minister.
He highlighted the state govt's initiatives under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, which include increased incentives for farmers and the provision of interest-free loans ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. Additionally, he noted that the Mysugar sugarcane factory successfully harvested 1.80 lakh tons of sugarcane and produced 1.40 lakh units of electricity.
